Yellow Bear Journeys

Return to Start

A Yellow Bear Journey can be a Return to your Start.

Would you like to return to your start? Would you like to make friends and be reunited with your past? Would you like to retrieve the jewels from your childhood? Then we’d love to take you on a Yellow Bear Journey!
I’d like to introduce you to my friend, Yellow Bear. At least this is how I first met him.

When I was young; no younger than that. No, not quite that young. I had a stuffed yellow bear. He was my best friend! (or BFF as they say these days). Not too sure whatever happened to that dear old friend, but after he disappeared, I kept him in my heart.
Except, that sometimes, I had to “grow up” a little bit, and so I “forgot” him just a little bit. The more I grew up, the more I forgot Yellow Bear. Then came that fateful day when I had to forget him completely.
During camp, once during the week, if we were good, we got to take a ride over to the swimming hole. Us boys were dunking them girls. We were really having a great time. Then I dunked a girl. BIG MISTAKE! I was the 4th guy to dunk her in less than 5 minutes.
So, she returned the favor. And dunked me extra hard and long. ...
The next thing I knew, I opened my eyes to find myself lying on the sand, with one of the camp leaders keeping an eye on me.
That day, I decided it was time I finally grew up, so nobody else would get drowned.

So, I buried the last memories of Yellow Bear at the bottom of that lake.

Half a life-time later, I saw a vision of a sword and a treasure box at the bottom of the lake. I came to know that I had to enter that vision and dive to the bottom of the lake and open that treasure chest and bring whatever was in it to the surface. Before I got around to that, I remembered enough to know that what I would find would be Yellow Bear, my friend I had drowned and buried in that chest so long ago. So, with tearful eyes and heavy heart, I dove to the bottom of that lake, and opened the chest to find what I was sure to find.
BUT the chest was empty. I was flabergasted. What could have happened? I’d wrapped a chain tightly around that chest so that nothing could escape. That chain was still intact when I’d hacked through it with a sword in order to open the chest. But the chest was empty.
I rushed to the surface in time to see Yellow Bear merrily walking down the hill to the edge of the lake.
“How’d you get there? How’d you get out? I thought I’d drowned you forever!”
“Oh, that! I couldn’t stay there long. I love freedom too much! Nice to see you again! Wanna play?”

I had my Yellow Bear back! Life could never be better!
