Yellow Bear Eats Some Blueberries &n-; M-M-M!
Yellow Bear sat in the woods. He had finished his morning swim and then sat in the sun while his fur dried.
Now he needed to eat some blueberries. &l";Bloooo-Berries, Bloooo-Berries&r";, he called out. Yellow Bear knew perfectly well where the blueberries were. He didn&';t need to call out to them. He just enjoyed hearing the word &l";Blueberry&r";.
And since blueberries didn&';t understand bear tongue, Yellow Bear had no fear that the blueberries would run away when he called out to them. He would sneak up on them and before they knew what was happening, he would pounce on them and eat them all up.
Oh, this was going to be a great day. He could already taste the blueberries on his tongue &n-; the riper ones and the not so ripe ones. And, he could already feel their juices slowly making their way down his throat. &l";M-M-M!&r";, Yellow Bear said, emphasizing each &l";M&r"; a little more than the previous one. &l";This is gonna be good!&r";
Yellow Bear arrived at the blueberries. Sometimes on his way there, he&';d have to stop and play. Sometime he just stopped to play by himself. Sometimes other animals would cross his path and he&';d stop and play with them.
When Yellow Bear was younger, he was afraid of some of the other animals &n-; black bears, brown bears, and porcupines most of all. Rather than fighting, he&';d hide or slip away when they weren&';t looking. Then he&';d find another longer route to the blueberries.
He always got to the blueberries. It just took eons sometimes.
Sometimes it was a river that instantly appeared, or a fire that blocked his path. Yellow Bear would slink away and find another way to the blueberries.
Now it was all different. If an animal or river or fire tried to stop him from reaching his precious blueberries, &l";Oooh, he could taste them now! Slurp!&r";, he would invite them to play. Most would say, &l";Sure, let&';s play!&r";. And they&';d play for a while, then each would go their own way and Yellow Bear&';s way always led him straight to the blueberries.
Sometimes the meaner animals didn&';t want to play. They wanted to fight or just stand in Yellow Bear&';s way. So Yellow Bear would just start playing by himself. Usually it didn&';t take very long before the other animal joined in.
On occasions, the other animal was particularly stubborn and just would not play. Sometimes they got bored and walked away, but sometimes they just sat there or tried to egg Yellow Bear to fight.
If Yellow Bear couldn&';t get the other animal to play (or leave) by playing by himself, he would invite his other friends to play &n-; the ones nobody but Yellow Bear could see. That always did the trick. The other animal couldn&';t stand to be left out, not when so many others were playing.
So, Yellow Bear would have a jolly good time no matter who he ran into. And on days like today, when he ran into nobody, Yellow Bear would just have to have a jolly good time eating blueberries.
&l";1, 2,&r";, he counted as he dropped each blueberry into his mouth and rolled his tongue over it, feeling the texture of its skin, before gleefully crushing it between his teeth ad letting juice ooze over his teeth ad gums and tongue before sliding down his throat. &l";202&r";, he shouted before cramming two handfuls of blueberries into his mouth.
&l";Today is gonna be a good day! M-M-M!&r";
